Confident Diabetes Management

This interactive course allows colleagues to update their Diabetes management skills, enabling them to play an effective part in the multi-disciplinary team that is required for the successful day-to-day support of students with Diabetes.
The course is led by a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Diabetes and a Senior Specialist Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian.

Childhood Immunisation Training

This one-day course provides essential childhood and adult immunisation update training, aimed at clinicians who provide the full range of immunisations covered in the routine UK schedules for children and adults. The training is an interactive update, allowing participants to check their understanding of each session before moving on. It will provide clinicians with the latest guidance on national immunisation programmes and demonstrate the resources available to manage common incidents and educate patients.

N.B: Please note that specific training in Basic Life Support and anaphylaxis recognition and management should also be undertaken annually or as per employer’s stipulations. Anaphylaxis is not covered in this update training.  Key learning objectives include:
