This in-depth and interactive Masterclass delivers evidence-based training which is specifically aimed at pastoral staff and nurses. Understanding and Applying Emotion Coaching Techniques
This practical, interactive and in-depth course is led by one of two outstanding presenters from our partnership organisation MITOS. Both have experience spanning a wide age-range and with that in mind, the course can be tailored in an age-appropriate way and in response to your specific needs.
Through extensive practice, training and research, we have come to understand that the majority of mental health challenges and the greatest struggle with maintaining a healthy mindset is often down to an accumulation of unmet emotional need. Emotions are widely misunderstood as the thing that controls us. In actual fact they are a rich data source which, when harnessed and understood, can enable greater understanding of self and others. Emotions can improve mindset and when used effectively can improve resilience and self-regulation significantly. This training uses techniques grounded in Emotion Coaching and is integrated with tried and tested evidence-based models.

Tackling Depression and Anxiety
Young people more than ever appear to be facing increasing struggles with their mental health. With an estimated 1 in 3 adolescents currently struggling with an anxiety disorder by their late teens, this workshop will aim to build and develop some key skills and tools required when dealing with those students who require help, intervention, and guidance.

- Appropriate response levels for supporting students experiencing distress in the form of anxiety and/ or depression
