Confident Asthma Management: The Toolkit for Independent School Nurses

Course Aim

This practical course returns for Autumn 2025, led by highly experienced and well-regarded Respiratory Specialist Nurse, Ren Lawlor.

Colleagues attending will be able to update their asthma management skills, enabling them to offer support that fully complies with all the latest advice and guidance.  Training will include details of the latest medication update on prescribing SABA, issued in 2025.

• How to question and make an accurate asthma diagnosis in children and teenagers
• Understanding the latest asthma management guidelines
• Managing worsening symptoms and asthma attacks
• Inhaler devices and techniques – latest updates and guidance
• Successful asthma self-management plans for teenagers
