Developing the Essential Role of The SENCO
Developing the Essential Role of the SENCO
Course Aim
Following the 2026 publication of the Government’s White Paper SEND Reforms, the need for creative and skilled strategic leadership of SEND in mainstream schools is even more essential than ever.
This one-day course will provide colleagues with an opportunity to consider the role of the SENCO as a strategic leader. It aims to support those leading SEND in the school to develop and implement their vision for improving outcomes for children and young people, aligned with the SEND Reforms. This course is suitable for primary and secondary mainstream SENCOs or aspiring SENCOs, Inclusion Coordinators and other leaders with a strategic responsibility for SEND in their school. Whether you’re new to the role or well-established, this in-person day is a fantastic professional development opportunity.
