Gender, Misogyny & Harassment in the Current Political Climate: Successfully creating an inclusive environment in your school
Course Aim
Recent times have seen battle lines drawn. How can we create school environments that ensure that women and girls are safe at the same time as defending the human rights of trans and non-binary students? This training provides the opportunity to unpick cultural and moral ideals/norms around the issues of gender and sex that continue to make political headlines and to perpetuate inequality in society. Women and girls everywhere as well as trans/non-binary people continue to be treated prejudicially, sexually harassed and abused. How can we navigate this complex landscape with our students, staff and parents?
This course will provide a fascinating and challenging look at how to proactively counter the culture that fosters inequality and abuse. Content explores how to successfully create an inclusive and welcoming environment, alongside practical takeaways that can be implemented.
