Level 3 Specialist Safeguarding – Identifying, understanding and responding to the safeguarding needs of your students
Course Aim
These two part multi-disciplinary webinars, on Monday 8th & Monday 15th Nov, allow for joined-up team working in line with current national legislation. Participants will build their knowledge and skills relating to Level 3 Safeguarding by exploring key aspects of child abuse and neglect, and appropriate actions. Contextual case discussion will allow participants to develop confident, safe and up-to-date practice within school. There will be a special focus on the 13-18 age groups.

- Understanding your role in safeguarding students
- Knowing what constitutes abuse and neglect
- Identifying and assessing safeguarding risks and concerns
- Effectively supporting and signposting for safe and respectful relationships in the light of ‘Everyone’s Invited’
- Managing issues of confidentiality and consent
- Sharing information appropriately
- Making safeguarding referrals
- Ensuring successful multi-agency working
- Effective record-keeping
N.B. Participants will be encouraged to submit issues of concern prior to the training
